Hello beautiful people! I had the opportunity to attend Wizarding Dayz this year on Friday. I helped out my publisher at their booth, and then got to explore. So, I decided to share some fun pictures and some of my thoughts based on said pictures. So lets hop right into it! Books can take us into a whole other worldAt Wizarding Dayz, they had a replica of the wardrobe from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. For those of you who may not know, in that book, the protagonists travel into the magical world of Narnia after going through a portal in a wardrobe. So here are my bookish thoughts on it. There is an immense power in great writing. When you read something that is well written, you can be transported to a whole other world. Any great story brings you into another world. I have found in my own writing that often the key to this is great description. If you can properly describe your world, the reader can picture it in their mind, and it will feel as though they are in your world. This immerses the reader and helps to keep them engaged in your world and gives them a world they won't want to leave. Any great story brings you into another world. Being a "Worthy Author"At Wizarding Dayz, they had the sword in the stone from the myths of King Arthur. So of course I had to talk about worthiness! You have to be worthy of peoples attention to have an audience. Now you may be saying, 'Kenny, but what if I am not worthy?!' That is exact opposite of what you should be asking. You should be saying, 'what can I do to become worthy of an audience?' Now let me tell you what you need to do, at least in my opinion. You need to have something unique to you, something that makes you stand out from the crowd. Almost anyone can write some fluff story about love or something like that, but you need to find something for your story that makes it unique. Let me give you an example. Lets talk about Twilight. According to my understanding, Twilight is a love story involving vampires and werewolves. If you take away the vampires and werewolves, you have just another love story. What makes it interesting is this bigger world. So you should find some way to make you and your books stand out, make it so you demand an audiences attention. That is how you become worthy of an audience. What I found is making me stand out is the fact that I am a teen author, and there aren't many of us around. Final ThoughtsI hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts coming out of Wizarding Dayz. The idea of this whole blog is to allow me to impart wisdom, advice and writing tips to you. So I hope this blog has been able to achieve that. Please let me know what you are doing to set your writing apart and what books you have found to really transport you into another world down in the comments. Until next time, I love you all and keep on writing!

Hello you amazing people! I hope you all had an amazing presidents day, and got to spend some well earned family time. I got the opportunity to spend all day ice fishing with some friends of mine, and I learned a few lessons I wanted to share with you! #1: PatienceI am sure many of you are familiar with this one, whether from being a parent, an avid fisher, or just any person who has to wait in a long line. When you are ice fishing, you have to be very patient in order to catch anything. Often times in our modern world we are greeted with instant gratification around every bend. When we order something on Amazon, we are annoyed when it doesn't have two or one day shipping. When a line is longer than you like, you may get impatient with those in front of you. I don't think the saying 'patience is a virtue' is one new to any of us. Something we must realize is that all good things require time. I mean, would you rather have an egg that was quickly cooked by barely touching the pan, or would you rather have an egg that was cooked over several minutes? I know that may seem like an odd example, but it brings up the thought about the value of putting a proper amount of time into things. #2: The importance of time in natureHave you ever noticed how little time we spend out in nature? In fact most people hardly go outside except to move between their car and other buildings. I have found it is truly amazing to be able to spend some time in the great outdoors. When we spend time in nature, we connect with our roots. We are able to just get away from it all and relax. Nature can serve as a source of inspiration as well, causing us to see and realize things we never did before. For me, nature has always been so essential for my thinking. Whether that be simply getting out of the house for a walk around the block, or a full blown week camping, I do some of my best thinking in nature. I think that most people lose that connection to thought, self, and nature amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. #3: Just enjoy yourself and have funAnd last but not least, we need to have fun. After my brother caught a fish, I absolutely insisted that he start doing some silly poses with it. Often times, we get into this mindset of everything just has to be work, but that is not all there is to life. We need to take the time to just appreciate the simple moments, and let loose. A little bit of fun can go a long way to brighten your day the the day of those around you. A simple smile or laugh can make a huge difference in someones day. Smiles and laughter are contagious, and really they are healthy for you. The very action of smiling even a forced smile triggers your brain into being happy and releasing the so-called 'happiness chemicals' such as dopamine. Final ThoughtsI would just like to encourage all of you to apply what I learned to your life. Practice patience, connect with nature, and have some fun. Take a moment to think, go for a walk, and connect with someone through laughter. We all need more patience, nature, and smiles in our lives, so go and apply this to your life. I love to hear from you guys, so please comment down below what you do to connect with nature or practice patience, and tell me what you will do to apply these principles in your life! And while you're at it, bookmark this site and follow my pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! Until next time, keep on writing!

Get hyped y'all and watch through for a possible opportunity that I may have coming up! Until next time, keep on writing! Hey guys, Happy Valentines Day! Let me ask you a question, what is love? I know this may seem like an odd question, especially on the holiday devoted to love, but it is a question we should all really think about. Is love only romantic? Or is love some thing more? Let me tell you what I have found about love over my 15 years of life. There is something more to love, than just romance. You don't have to have a romantic partner to feel loved or to give love. Love is something larger, something that connects us all. Let me tell you about my best friend. She is about the same age as me, and we love each other, but not romantically. To us, love is being devoted to each other, trusting each other, and being there when they need you the most. To me, that is what love is. Let me break it down for you. First, being devoted to each other. That means that no matter how broken things may feel, you never turn your back on one another. Being devoted to one another does not mean that you spend every second of every day with the people you love, but you still love them, even when you haven't seen them for a while. Next, lets talk about trusting each other. Going back to my best friend, she knows things that no one else does, because I know that I can trust her. But trust is a two-way street, and as such, I know things about her that very few others do. Trust takes time, but it is worth it to strengthen your relationships. And last but not least, being there when the other needs it the most. This means that when the person you love is in need, when they are feeling down, you are willing to drop everything and comfort them. It means that you are simply there to listen, and to be a shoulder to cry on. Please share this with your loved ones and spend some time with them this Valentines Day. Share your thoughts down in the comments about what love is to you and if you agree with me! And with that, I wish all of you wonderful people a Happy Valentines Day, and until next time, keep on writing!
