A Message Of Hope Howdy folks. Boy has it been a while. It feels as though it's been years, even though it's been only a little more than a month. And boy how the world has changed. Everyone is afraid, even if they won't admit it. To be honest, I too am more than a little afraid. The world we live in has really changed.
There may be bad news around every bend. Fearmongering by the media faces us at every turn. We just can't seem to catch a break. Every day we hear about "1,000 more infected," and "how serious the corona virus REALLY is." The economy is shot, stocks plummeting, banks running without accountability. All signs point to the apocalypse. People can't find common supplies from flour to toilet paper(seriously though, what are you going to do with it, wrap yourself in it?) It seems as though all hope should be lost. I am here to tell you, ALL HOPE IS NOT LOST. It may seem as though humanity is facing impossible odds. It may appear to some like these are the end times. But there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a hope. And that hope, is YOU. How you act in these trying times, will help define the future. Whether you choose to panic buy things you do not need, or only get what you really need, this will have an effect. We as a society tend to do what others do. So when others are panicking and doing reckless things, that only encourages more people to follow suit. But if you choose to act responsibly, to be brave, and think like a proper human being, we can beat this. We are already so close, we may even be in the home stretch. We need to work together to stay calm, and see COVID-19 for what it is, and not what the media makes it out to be from fearmongering. We need to band together, and face this demon, so we can move on with our lives. There has already been too much bad news. Let's make the bad news stop. Implore the news to cover something OTHER than the bad news. Ask your friends to be kind, and not take what they don't need from stores. Use this time to improve and progress, not devolve and become archaic. I anticipate that if we, as a species, use this quarantine time to improve ourselves, invest in our interests, and rest, we will turn this crisis right around. I hope to see new inventions, ideas, and passions emerging when we finally come out of our holes in the ground. It is my hope, that this will change society for the better, not for the worse. It is my hope, that we will rise to the challenge as a species, and make the best of a bad situation. It is my hope, that YOU, yes, you, the reader, will be the hope of tomorrow, by seizing this day. I make an end of speaking, and leave this, my hope, with you, dear reader.
