Hey guys, Happy Valentines Day! Let me ask you a question, what is love? I know this may seem like an odd question, especially on the holiday devoted to love, but it is a question we should all really think about. Is love only romantic? Or is love some thing more? Let me tell you what I have found about love over my 15 years of life. There is something more to love, than just romance. You don't have to have a romantic partner to feel loved or to give love. Love is something larger, something that connects us all. Let me tell you about my best friend. She is about the same age as me, and we love each other, but not romantically. To us, love is being devoted to each other, trusting each other, and being there when they need you the most. To me, that is what love is. Let me break it down for you. First, being devoted to each other. That means that no matter how broken things may feel, you never turn your back on one another. Being devoted to one another does not mean that you spend every second of every day with the people you love, but you still love them, even when you haven't seen them for a while. Next, lets talk about trusting each other. Going back to my best friend, she knows things that no one else does, because I know that I can trust her. But trust is a two-way street, and as such, I know things about her that very few others do. Trust takes time, but it is worth it to strengthen your relationships. And last but not least, being there when the other needs it the most. This means that when the person you love is in need, when they are feeling down, you are willing to drop everything and comfort them. It means that you are simply there to listen, and to be a shoulder to cry on. Please share this with your loved ones and spend some time with them this Valentines Day. Share your thoughts down in the comments about what love is to you and if you agree with me! And with that, I wish all of you wonderful people a Happy Valentines Day, and until next time, keep on writing!
